About the Author

As a young girl, Kristy Natelborg struggled in school. Learning to read was just plain hard. Encouragement from her 5th-grade teacher kept her working hard and engaged in school. That teacher planted the seed that led to a degree in Elementary Education. Kristy’s passion for helping others, whether a struggling student, a fellow teacher, or a parent, has always been a bucket filler for her. Her deep hope is that all children will see themselves as the uniquely created child God has created them to be. Teaching isn’t just a career; it is a lifestyle of serving.

Years later, when Kristy married and became a mother, her passion spilled over into her home—desiring for her two children to flourish academically, emotionally, and spiritually. Her first book was written from a specific longing for them to hear and know more than just the world’s narrative of Easter – but to know and receive the truth of Jesus’ life, death, and resurrection. Wanting to reach their little hearts with the gospel in an engaging way, something they could see, feel, touch, and smell. Her Easter story and practical demonstration of what Jesus accomplished on the cross thousands of years ago were born out of that desire. She now prays that this book would engage the hearts of precious little ones worldwide.

Kristy lives in Littleton, Colorado, with her husband, Dan. The two children they raised have now blessed them with six grandchildren. She has been an educator at Denver Christian Schools for over 27 years. She has shared her love for Jesus and His world with others as a former kindergarten and second-grade teacher and now as a Reading Specialist.
